I've just upgraded from my Kyro II to a GF4 Ti4200 (MSI - 64MB). I'm currently using the 42.01 drivers, but I'm wondering how the other version perform, especially the beta 42.30 ones. Any comments on which ones you have found to be the best so far?

Cheers

The hard to find Omega version 1.1.82 based on the 30.82 is the best in my opinion.

IQ is the Omega's claim to fame, well deserved I might say. But it does take about a 10% speed hit. Overclock that MSI and you will have plenty of gaming speed. I found that the 41.09 was faster at low IQ settings and running 3DMark, but when you turn on the eye candy to equal the quality of the 30.82's they were slower in games.

I prefer the 30.82 Detonators myself. IMHO they offer the best balance of speed and IQ for my GF4 Ti 4200.

Yeah, I've overclocked the card to 305/600 - artifact free according to Artifact Tester... getting 10826 ATM.... I'll probably give the 30.82 ones a try.

I have tried the 41.09's and I have to admit they are crap....I started having refresh issues I didn't have with cd versio drivers which are much older. The 2d clarity and much better and the menu options in display advanced properties seemed to be more and easy to adjust.
