From Windows error reporting page:

"You received this message because a device driver installed on your computer caused the Windows operating system to stop unexpectedly.

Error Message: STOP 0x000000EA THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER (Q293078)

Option 1: Install the most current device driver for your video card
Option 2: Manually decrease Hardware Acceleration for your video adapter "

Info of my current driver:

Driver Provider: Nvidia
Driver Version: 5.6.7.3
Driver Date: 4/7/2004

Is there a better new driver for this crappy card? I know that sometimes new drivers can be buggy

Thanks

Uh...you seriously wrote all of that instead of looking for a driver yourself???

In less time that it took for you to write that post, I was able to go to http://www.nvidia.com and select your video card series and Windows XP..

Forceware release 169 - December 19th, 2007.

Says it works with the FX series, but then again Nvidia's website gave me a wrong driver for a GeForce3 as well..had to pick it manually..

And here's a link for you : http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_169.21_whql.html

I'd say *anything* would be better than a 3 year old driver...

Yes I found that easily, I asked because I've seen many posts here about updating video card drivers causing more problems than the older ones, thanks.

Should I back up my driver before updating in case I have problems? How do I do this?
