Best Dog Food ... EVAR!

We have 3 dogs (Lab, English Setter, Beagle)

We had been feeding them on IAMS or Nutro, which at almost $30 for a 40lb bag was getting expensive at the rate they go through it. We did try cheaper brands like Purina and Pedigree, but they were pretty bad......dogs ate them, but gave them terrible gas.

Anyway, we were at a local farm supplies store which sells animal feed.
The guy there was telling us about a brand of dog food called Blue Seal.
He claimed it was on a par with IAMS, yet it was around half the price - $17 for 50lbs.
Made by a small company in NH and can sell it cheaper because they do not have all the overheads/advertising/prestige of some of the other brands.
I was sceptical, but figured I'd give it a try.

Well our dogs LOVE this stuff. They go crazy over it.
It is very good quality and always very fresh. I've been using it for past 6 months.
They have different types depending on how active your dogs are.

Here is their website - http://www.blueseal.com

You can do a search to see if there are any suppliers near you.
Give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.

My dog is very picky. She will rarely eat anything other than canned dog food. I once had a dog who was super picky. This dog wasn't actually ours, but hang out at our home all the time, so we started feeding it. First he would eat anything, then we would give him what we were eating. Ok, he ate that then started to not eat mushrooms, to go as far as to lick the mushrooms clean and leave them. After we had steak and gave him one he didn't eat anything for about 3 days, no matter what we offered. Then he came around and ate most stuff. This cycle continued on and on. I wonder what happened to him. I sure hope he was ok after we moved.

You know,
milk bone dog biscuits are okay. Except for those little green ones, bleegh they're nasty tasting.

I don't see any dog food listed. Maybe they relabeled the goat feed....😉

Just speculateing here, but IAMS and the like have no soy product in the feed. I'll bet that what you bought does.

Some breeds need the high protein/no soy feed like my Siberian Husky. Feed regular ole dog food to him and he sheets all over the place! Runny sheet too!:disgust:

I just checked, only one of their foods contains soyt products - Practical Pet 21 - which is the cheapest one.
They all have various levels of protein depending on the type of dog you have and how active it is.

Thay have 8 different kinds - I usually buy Natural 26 - good stuff!

My Golden Retriever/Yellow Lab cross gets 44lb bags of Pedigree. He seems to like it well enough. Our vet suggested switching to Science Diet but good lord is that stuff expensive.

No Blue Seal dealers here in east TX apparently.

I thought it was more widely available.

There are a ton of suppliers in upstate NY, and also where I used to live in central NJ
