Best "Do it all, fix it all" bootable CD?

Ultimate Boot CD, or UBCD4Win (same thing but uses a Windows environment, runs straight from the CD).

Failing that, Winternals Administrator's Pak.

Hiren is good for fixing problems, but there are a lot of bootable Linux CDs out there that are great for access to office apps at a library or somewhere else where they are not installed

There's only two boot cd's I find myself using all the time. The first is a Windows 98 bootdisk imaged cd and the second is the Linux boot cd with the password reset and registry editing utility on it. Every now and then I use the partition magic cd to run partition magic at boot up for quick formatting if I'm reinstalling an os and don't have time to wait.

yeah. Hiren's BootCD 7.9 has to be illegal. 😛

Ill d-load Ultimate boot and UBCD4win if i can find it. 😛

Any others?

i'd download the Hiren's because I dont give a sh!t if it's illegal if it's better why not.

Hiren's boot CD apparently can't handle a system with a SCSI boot disk and/or SATA drives. All I got were Invalid Drive Specification messages. So, it looks like the Ultimate Boot CD is my only option.

Which driver pack for UBCD4Win do I need to install to make *that* particular boot disk work with the above environment?

I made a custom boot cd that is the Ultimate Boot CD as listed above, with a menu option to boot Hirens 🙂 So one 1 discs I have UBCD and Hirens, works great. If I remember correctly extracted the boot file from Hirens with WinImage then made a menu option for Hirens, then just placed the files from Hirens on the UBCD with the same path as originally and it worked.

Hi, I was looking at this bootable CD.
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/hiren.thanki/bootcd79.html

Has a whole bunch(many many cools ones!) of programs that seem really helpful in fixing PCs.

Question is: Know of any better ones?

And how can it have that many programs and only be 61mb? Sounds fishy....

I used an older version which works perfectly except it has a hard time cloning (either Partition Magic or Partition Commander) RAID 0 HDD. Otherwise, it's the perfect arsenal for any computing problems. I might get this newer version.
