Ok, it took me a while to take the plunge but i did, and have no regrets..so far

I got the DX-5 package which includes the dishplayer 7222, which is a freakin awesome piece of equipment and a slave 2800 receiver..just check out the details.

Anyways, $180 for package + $20 shipping -$200 dishnetwork rebate = free! the only pain in the ass is that you have to install it yourself, which is not brain surgery but definitely not as easy as "installing a ceiling fan" which I was told.

Also, I like like 12 miles away from my local transmission towers so i got the terk tv-42 clip on antenna also for $60 and i'm impressed with the reception! i also got my locals on dish for $5 extra a month, but want the antenna for non-network channels, upn..etc.

I am very happy with my dish 500 kit (also the 7222 receiver) that I got for $19 from dishking.com. Then my sister found it for $0 at 4dws.com. Plus you still get the $199 rebate from dish network. Also got all pay channels (30+) for first 3 months by asking for them when activating programming. Target B&M routinely sell there 2nd receivers for $49. Seems like every 2-4 weeks they are in there Sunday ad. As a side note, I've heard you receiver your $199 rebate faster if you do the direct credit card billing option with dish network.

So go to 4dws.com, get dishplayer 7222 (17gig hd recorder) Dish 500 kit for $0 - $199 rebate + $49 2nd receiver.....

doesn't look like that offer is there anymore, 'whew! i was about to get way pissed! about a month ago the prices on these things just jumped way up, the package i got was originally $99, then jumped up close to $200
