Here's the A70 for $273.55 + free shipping:

YesMicro!

Great company; 8.7+ ResellerRatings for the past 6 months. I've purchased from them a few times and have had nothing but great service. Unfortunately the A70 is backordered there from the manufacturer until the first of February, so I'm going to have to wait to join the club 🙁

If NewEgg didn't open a damn warehouse here in TN........ :|

Honestly, I don't like the Fuji S5000 that much. A friend of mine bought it on impulse mid December when they were selling for $300 shipped and I was really tempted to buy one as well. But when he got his, I wasn't really satisfied with the image quality compared to other cameras i've seen. So now I'm kinda waiting for the Panasonic FZ 10k to drop in price a bit.

Silver cameras look newbish. That is a fact. I'm not going to set up a tripod in downtown Austin with a silver camera on top.

Worrying more about what color your camera is instead of what kind of pictures it takes is "newbish"

Would you use a hot pink camera? I'm not worrying more about the color.
OK, I may agree with you there.
But a hot pink camera makes you think of a toy for girls.
A silver, metal bodied camera makes you think high-tech electronic device.

Metal bodied is nice, but most silver cameras, like the one I have now, are plastic, and it looks cheesy.

Most people probably don't give a crap. Not like people are going to walk by and go "oohhh, he/she is using a cheapo silver camera". I would care much more about the camera image quality than the casing.

I'm looking for a camera to replace my Fuji S2800. Leaning towards the S5000, although if I can find an S602z on eBay for less, I'll get that instead since it can use CF cards. Any suggestions for similar cameras?
Must be able to accept treaded lenses. Used is fine. Also, it must be black, since I don't want to look like an idiot taking pictures with a silver camera.

Edit: I should be more specific. This camera isn't for taking pictures at parties and such. It's for landscape and macro photos of plants and animals, maybe a few artistic shots. So variable settings would be good. Also a continuous shooting mode, where it shoots 5 frames per second, like the Fujis have is a plus. Also needs threaded lens attachment capability.

3 megapixels is all I need. A used pro level camera would be ideal, but there aren't many on eBay.

Edit: Also note that I have a Fuji 2800 already. It's 2 megapixel, 6x zoom. I just want more adjustability and capability.

Olympus C-7xx series > most cameras in that range.
