Best Digital Camera For $300?

Nikon also makes some great point & shoot cameras. Canon's require more finesse (which I do not have) IMO

Get canon, in my opinion and from my experience canon rocks. I've got an older A85 4MP and for what I do it is great. Could use a bit more optical zoom (only has 3x) but its ok. The newer A520 which replaced the A85 has a 4x optical zoom.
