My last camera was a 2MP hp camera, but i had to sell it
now i have a cheap 20 dollar digital camera that i bought from someone in a parking lot, it's not as cool as i want tho, it only takes 20 640x480 pics and has no zoom or lcd display etc.
So i'm not looking for the top of the line or best thing out, just a good quality buy with optical zoom, more than 2MP, and lcd display on the back, for 100 or less.

any recommendations appreciated
thanks

E-Bay, or the parking lot, or pick one here. The "best" would be a gently used one or one that "fell off a truck." :)

>$100

The A350 is a great camera. I would also recommend an Olympus C-3030. You can get them for under $100 on eBay. It's a 3.2 megapixel with a good CCD, and lot of manual settings. Had one until it got stolen. Great camera. Do yourself and get a big SmartMedia card, and a USB2 / FireWire reader with it. The interface on the camera is USB 1.1, which means ~ 1 MB /s.. Ouch.

I'd go for this: Recertified: FUJIFILM A360 Silver

It's a recert, but it should work just fine. Get that and a set of rechargable AAs (an absolute must for any camera) and you're off to the races. When you have the extra cash, get a 512MB or 1GB SD card, which will enable you to take a bazillion pictures and a fair amount of movie.
