Best Digital Camcorder for under 700

Hey i've been reading some reviews and posts on forums, but I still need more help. I will be going to the pacific islands (Phillippines and Guam). I will be shooting both indoor and outdoor and mostly during the day, but I will be shooting some under low light. I would like to have a large lcd sreen and a standard zoom is more than enough. I already have a digicam so taking still images is not much of a concern. Since I will be traveling I would like to keep the camcorder as small as possible for convience purposes. I see that Panny PV-GS120 is pretty popular since the sale at sears, canon elura, (the optura is out of my price range), and I have not checked sony products since im not a big of them, but i'm open to any suggestions.

i was going to suggest that panasonic model you mentioned.. i would get one myself, but i'm a little short on $$ right now, and i have a strong feeling that the replacement for it is coming fairly soon.
