I have an Altec Lansing 4.1 piece setup... can probably be had for about $75 now as it was $100 a year ago when I got it. I believe the sub woofer is 40 watts, which provies pleanty of thump for gaming and great clear sound for music.

Altec Lansing 4.1. Make sure to note that period there. These things are absolutely amazing. It might be just over 100 dollars but its well worth it...These things play music better than my 200 dollar mini shelf system.

I recommend Boston BA7800. Ebay. Should be about $100 for a new unopened box. (Edit: They are still sold with Gateways, and lots of people try to get rid of them. I got my set for $120 shipped)

The clearest sound you will ever get out of a PC. This set beats the $400 klipsch any day of the week.

I like my Z540s! You might find them for cheaper than halkebul's link. Check the Hot Deals forum ;)
