Any sites come to mind? Easy to move about? Not too many advertisements ,etc?

Amazon is probably the most common answer to this question.

And to the above, Google's site is a PITA if you want to find information about Google and don't just search (ie, actually use the available navigation).

Seems like you would just click on "About Google"

I'm sure a lot of people won't agree...but I like the layout of ESPN.com. CNN's site isn't too bad either. I'm on those sites all the time and find them pretty user friendly.

Well thats just it, if you're on them all the time you would get used them and then they'd seem to be good.
But what about folks who are visiting a site for the first time?

I still think too many sites look like giant messes. We need to figure out a way to make things easier & quicker to find with fewer clicks. Along those lines, Amazon stands out as one of the better places I can think of. Not perfect, but better than most. Shame I only use them to look things up and then purchase elseware.

Amazon is decent but google is the best. Clean, no annoying pop ups or flash ads designed to appeal to an ADD ravaged epileptic 9 year old on a Mountian Dew rush.
