My mother's fiancee wants to take her on a(nother) cruise this winter (leaving sometime in December or possibly late January), preferably Eastern Caribbean (flexible). I've been looking for deals at cruise.com and cruiseshopping.com - any other recommendations?

CRAZY CRUISE!

Umm, i've heard absolutely awesome things about Norwegian .. and not so great things about Carnival. But I have yet to go on a cruise myself, so I'll refrain from giving more advice!

I've heard the exact opposite from family members but also have not been on either.

There was an awesome site a while back that let you book under-capacity cruise liners. FRACTION of the price. Only downside is you have 2-3 weeks to prepare only.

Anybody got a link?

good cruise deals are harder to find nowaday, with the fuel surcharges, dealers can't advertise lower rates, etc....if you are flexible, last minute deals are your best bet. I did book my upcoming NCL cruise from a dealer out of cruisecompete.com, their rate was the lowest, but only like $10 or so per person, so it wasn't a great deal like it used to.
