This is probably going to be the last upgrade I'm going to do on my old system. I think I can get another year out of it and I hope I can.

As of now its a

AMD 2500+
1.5 Gigabytes of Ram
80 and 300 gig hard drive
Cheap crappy Case
Decent 300 Watt PSU
Geforce 6600GT 128mb

What would you suggest for the best video card around 200 dollars or less? I tried the Call of Juarez game and it ran ok, but still a bit choppy when I start shooting. I know a better video card will help for sure.

I was thinking about a x800? I'm really not a ATI fan though, but it seems Nvidia does not offer much.

I would realy suggest you to just save the money... Try to get PCI express for your next build. AGP is going to be extinct soon.

hmm, I checked those out but something looks wrong about them.. they have ddrII memory and 128bit and the 7800GS is ddr3 and 256 bit so I'm wondering why they made it.. looks to be a slow video card with a high name.

I'll keep that in mind though.

well I'm not going to be building a new system anytime soon, so I want something that I can use now. I rather spend 150 bucks now and still use this system than build a whole new system since I can't really use anything from this system or really want to.

I alrady know AGP is going to be extinct but that is no reason not to get one.

wait for 7600GT AGP or buy now 7600GS OC AGP
if you find 6800 Ultra for 200$ its best choice!
