Best deal for overclocking AMD system

Hi guys,

I'm doing some bargain hunting. I was tempted to buy the latest Nforce4 motherboards but by the time I actually take advantage of their power something else will be out that is better. The way I figure it is that if I'm not ready to dish out the money now for 2 PCI-e Ultras then forget it. Not to mention the price/performance ratio for the AMD 64 3800 is a large leap upwards going from the 3500 cpu. I can't justify the costs.

What I'm looking for is a bargain priced power system. The stock system I would like to compete with is the AMD 64 3800 if possible.

If you know of an awesome setup for cheap that can be overclocked to around the 3800 performance, please post it here. If you can, please provide how you accomplished it so that I can go to work asap on building it.

I need the Motherboard, CPU, Video Card, Memory.

Cheers guys!

Probably look something like:

MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum - 136 bucks
90nm Winchester Athlon 64 3500+ - 252 bucks
Video card - anything you like. Depends on your budget. X800XT/6800Ultra - 500+ bucks, X800Pro/6800GT - 400 bucks, 6800/6600GT/9800Pro - 200 bucks, etc. Lots to choose from.
Corsair XMS PC3200 1gb - 200 bucks

EDIT: The CPU I listed is OEM. You'll need a good heat sink, I recommend the XP-90 (the MSI motherboard can't fit the XP-120. However, the ASUS K8Ne Deluxe can).

See the sticked post above.

If you take the 1500 system and overclock it , you will get better than 3800+ stock results.

See the guide to overclocking in that section. It isn't short enough to cut and paste.
