I'm seriously starting to think RossMAN is a bot. I think he's written to automatically reply to any thread that has "best deal" "cheapest price" or "web hosting" in the title

Trac phone.
I am a year over (time-wise).
But I still have available units and I can still make calls.
And just like any other cell phone I dont have to run around looking for a public phone.

I've not seen any that "never expire", but there are lots that expire in 90 days.

If you're looking for international phone cards, this site is legit. I've used them for over two years:

http://firstphonecard.com/

I buy about once a month. Watch out for that "tax". If a card is advertised at $0.10/min and has a 20% "tax", it really means $0.12/min. They didn't do that when I first began using the site.

if you have access to a computer SkypeOut can be cheap depending on where you're calling. For the most popular locations around the world it's about $.02/minute

I have a friend backpacking across Europe this summer. Is there any kind of "mega euro" calling card that will allow them to call the US from any (or at least a good # of) countries in Europe?

Um depends where you want to call. Seriously, all those calling cards from the US are a joke. It's just like people who go to T-Mobile store and spend $200 on a phone. I can get you a K750i retail boxed and in mint condition for free.

We cheap asians know the best ones. 3 cents a minute to Hong Kong and Taiwan? ROFL!!!! Yes. Buy the Chinese ones. You just gotta talk to some Asian ppl about it and ask them which ones are good. If you buy the wrong ones, you will run into a lot of busy phone lines. Otherwise, the one I use now is superb. Yea and my friend brags to me about his stupid Verizon service that allows him to call India for like 5x the price I can call. Hell it's more expensive than SBC international rates.
