BEST DEAL EVER!!!???

So here's the story...

Bought a samsung DLP 50in HDTV, one of the newest model, online for about $2500.
I gave them my debit card for the tv and they said that my maximum limit for debit transaction was only $400. So they told me to just get a cashier's check and give it to the delivery guys once they deliver the TV, cashier's check for $2400.

Sooo...
the delivery guys called me yesterday saying that they'll be at my house between 12 ~ 4pm. So i waited and they came at 6pm. and by this time i was pissed off.

after they unloaded the giant box with the tv in it, they gave me a paper to sign. so i signed it. then I offered them the cashier's check, and they said "it doesnt say anything about recieving a check" .

so then i thought, maybe I need to send them the cashier's check myself.
then i read the paper that i signed (after they left), and it says exactly:

"SHIPPER'S COD: 2400.00"

COD = Collect on delivery

So, im thinking to myself... Since the delivery guys came like 2 hours late and at the same time the tv seller charged me extra money, I will not do the good deed and just wait until they ask me for the check.

sounds like a plan?

CLIFF NOTE

1. bought a tv for 2500
2. supposed to give 2400 with cashier's check on delivery
3. they didnt accept the check

DAMN IT!!! i dont know how to link the site with the tv...

better linkage here THE TV

you suck at the linkage. 😛

anyway, delivery guys are often affiliated with delivery companies and do multiple deliveries for multiple retailers. chances are they'll get a beating from the online retailer who sold it to you. you'll have to give the money in eventually, or they'll charge you.

but until then, enjoy the very cheap TV 🙂

but cant i just tell them that I paid the delivery people the money and its no longer my obligation?

i wish people would just put *SCAM* in their titles. The best deal ever is you didn't pay for your tv?

you should be banned for being such an amoral thief.

Im not just gonna not pay. gosh im not that bad of a person. Im saying, they gave me such a hard time with the delivery and all that crap, so i want to return them just a lil bit of favor.
took them over a week to get it delivered... for about 600 handling charge

If you were planning to steal a Samsung DLP, you should at least have gotten this year's -8 series with true 1080 HD resolution and the newer TI chip. n00b.

That's a nice looking TV. I was over a friends place this past weekend, and I must say their 50inch widescreen Plasma TV was off the Wall. (Some Panasonic Plasma, model unknown)

You're right, the delivery company should eat $2400 for that outrage.

😕
