Best DDR3 6GB (3x2GB) Kit for $200 or less?

Well, I got my new build and the OCZ Gold DDR3-1600 6GB kit has a defective stick. This defective stick will NOT run at specification. Anything more than 1400MHz makes it extremely unstable. I tried a Corsair XMS3 kit from a friend and it worked fine at 1600MHz.

So, I'm going to buy another kit, and send the existing kit back for a refund when I get it.

What would you recommend? MAX $200. 🙂

There are no guarantees when OCing an individual CPU.
But that G.Skill is the highest quality 6GB DDR3 kit that Newegg is selling at this time (IMO of course).

^^^Nice... low voltage, cas 7 timings. impressive.

You think I'l' be able to get my i7 920 to 3.8ghz with those?
Ram nowadays doesn't really matter that much for overclocks (unless your trying to break benchmarks).

My $85 3x2gb 1066 @ 7s kit runs pretty happy up to DDR-1700, and they don't even have heatspreaders on them. They are barely warm to the touch under the heaviest of loads.

Lets do some math:
1700/6 =283
283x21=5943

So my absolute budget RAM will allow me to overclock to ~6ghz, my uncore shits out waaay before that
