My parents believed I deserved a new car because of my grades in college were so good (and I wont argue with that). It just so happens I dropped my old POS cell phone in a pool at a party during July 4, ok I jumped in the pool and forgot about the cell phone. I agree, I was expecting to say that he got engaged/married. His wife had a new baby or maybe just graduated and got his first "real" job. But to be your best day of your life and you were given gifts of approx. $23k (and brag about it), I find that rather sad.

I'm sure you'll make another thread in a few years about the best day of your life when your parents buy you a new $500k house.

Uh..even if I got straight fvcking As in college, I wouldn't receive gifts anywhere CLOSE to those. I don't expect anything from my parents except food, a roof over my head, and clothes. The rest they provide I am extremely grateful of, as you should be.

And seriously, next time you have the chance to get a new car, don't get a fvcking Liberty. God damn.

Nice to see you have generous parents, mine unfortunately didn't have much to pass on to me. I work hard now to make sure my kids will have what they need. But no way would I ever buy them a phone, car and laptop without them putting something into it also (other than good grades).
