Pork shoulder or loin with red cabbage is good. Just throw some garlic, apple, white wine, and a little bacon mixed in and cook until the pork falls apart.

A coworker made this for one of those potluck lunches many years ago. She's brought it every time by lots of requests from other staff.
Kielbasa
pineapple chunks
some brown sugar (just enough to give it a little bit of sweetness

Slow cook it for hours.

why cook it for hours when the kielbasa is cooked?

I like to experiment with the crock pot on Sundays. Yesterday I added a bunch of boneless chicken thighs, some garlic, salsa, and various peppers. Made the best chicken tacos ever :)

i just made this saturday (and featured it in my own crock pot thread in which other posters replied with recipes):

3.5 to 5 lbs of chuck roast (trim the fat)
2x12 oz condensed cream of mushroom soup
2x1 oz onion soup mix
bunch of celery hearts
some baby carrots
small package of mushrooms
about 7 boiling onions
about 5 garlic cloves

throw in veggies. put meat on top. add the other stuff. add enough water to make the liquids almost level with the meat. turn on low for 10 hours. break up the meat with a couple of wooden spoons.

pro tip: refrigerate it when it cools off and after a few hours you can remove the remaining fat from right off the top as that is where it will solidify. otherwise, you might get as much gas as i have had for the last two days.

for carb loading add some potatoes or eat the stew over rice. i prefer the latter because i am filipino and we eat rice in our sleep. if you're in a cutting phase instead of a bulking phase keep the potatoes or rice out and eat stew plain. even plain this stew is awesome enough to make rainbows come out of the sky and unicorns land in your backyard so be forewarned.

BBQ Root Beer Chicken:

6 boneless skinless Chicken Breasts
2 bottles Kraft BBQ sauce (or whatever you like)
12 ounces Root Beer
Whatever spices you have on hand, to taste (I usually have Mrs. Dash, Onion Powder, and Garlic Salt)

Dump everything but the chicken into a 6-quart Crockpot (it makes a liquidy sauce) & stir til blended, the dump in the chicken and make sure the sauce covers them. Cook for 5 hours on low. Pull out & shred with 2 forks (like pulled pork). Throw back in for an hour on low. Done. (don't overcook tho - it turns into shoe leather! experience talking here, lol)

This recipe tastes better and better the longer it stays in the fridge. I'll eat it for a week, and by the end of the week it has an ever better flavor because it's been marinating for so long.

Also kids love it - they see the root beer when it's being made and will eat seconds. The root beer flavor cooks out, but keeps a sugary flavor just like pulled pork.

BBQ pulled pork:

Ingredients:
1 pork shoulder roast
20 oz bottle of root beer
1tsp Worcestershire sauce
1tsp minced onion
Dash of cumin
Dash of cayenne pepper
~20oz BBQ sauce of your choosing.

This is pretty much the same as Kaido's recipe. Let the pork shoulder cook in the root beer and Worcestershire for about 6 hours on low, then use a pair of large, heavy forks to shred. Dump and rinse crockpot, then put the shredded pork back in with the BBQ and spices. mix thoroughly and cook on low for another 1-1.5hrs.

I like to add a little habanero hot sauce to mine as well.
