best credit card?

Anything that gets you miles.

I use the Alaska Airlines Signature Visa. I can use the miles on NWA, American, Alaska, Hawaiian and Delta.

I love my Discover Card.

Never get hassled with telemarketers, no annual fee, nice online access with email alerts if you want them. Also has CashBack awards.

also from a javelin study, they have the doing the most for fraud detection.

I like my Hawaiian Airlines Platinum. I'm trying to save enough to get miles for 4 free tickets!

The Citi card doesn't offer one-time-use #s? That's pretty weak, I was under the impression that MOST if not ALL CCs with an online component let you create "safe shopping" temporary CC #s...boo 🙁

WTF are you smoking?

Only 3 cc's have offered one time use cc's that I'm aware of:

American Express "private payments" which they got rid of about 2 years ago.
CitiBank Virtual Account Numbers, what makes you think they stopped this?
MBNA's ShopSafe also offers one time use cc's.

I've got a chintzy SunTrust visa that offers "shopsafe" temporary credit card numbers and so does my MBNA corporate card...maybe I've just been spoiled; I was under the impression that was a more-or-less "regular" feature

oh well 😉

Doesn't Discover also offers one-time use?

Get one (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) from your local credit union. They always have the best rates. Stay away from the big banks like Citi, Chase, etc.

Amex is also awesome. My next credit card will absolutely be from them.

You may be right but Discover is the ugly bastard step child of cc's (as far as I'm concerned) 🙂
