I'm trying to consolidate my credit cards to one with a low APR via balance transfers, etc... I'm basically just wanting to have 2 cards--Amex Blue (which I already have) and a Visa or Mastercard Platinum. I currently have 3. I could transfer everything to one of my current cards, but I would like to get one of these low APR cards and cancel out my highest cards ASAP. What's the best Visa to go with?

Sorry...I just bought a learjet with all my spare cash and leased it to a friend under a false name so AMEX won't believe that I'm wealthy enough anymore. I'll have to stick with a Visa.

See if your current cards have any BT promotions.

What you have to look out with on the low APRs with BTs is that they often charge a fee of 3% or more on them. So you have to weigh how long it will realistically take you to pay off your debt. If the amount of $ of interest you'll incur on the BT interest over that time plus the BT fee is less than the $ in interest you'll incur over keeping the balance on your current card, don't do it.

heres what you do if you dont want to have a credit check run on you by several companies trying to get a 0% APR:

Call the credit card comapny up that you like the most and inform them you want a better interest rate, higher limi and consolidate your credit cards to it and inform them you were offer X% by another credit card.

If you dont like your current credit cards then try for one you personally pick out.
