Do they sell this at GNC? And also, how do you take the glutamine, as far as the doses and what not? I have never used it before.

I don't think they sell this at GNC, please never buy from there! They charge over 100% markup on many items...

I usually buy Creatine here. Glutamine.

I usually mix in a 1/2-1 tablespoon of glutamine in my protein shake before workout, and in my shake after workout (both are with water for faster absorption.

I used to use Creatine HSC for awhile, but then I decided it's price wasn't worth it for the added gains I was seeing. I have since switched to AST's Micronized Creatine. One 4 lb jug of creatine HSC has 41 servings and costs about $22 at DPS nutrition IIRC, although the containers I have bought have contained anywhere from 36-42, so I suppose YMMV. In comparison, the Micronized Creatine costs about $25 but has 200 servings in it.

Hi Melvin,
Not sure how long the 4lb lasts, I usually buy 3 at a time so don't notice how quickly they go. Considering I take about 10-12 scoops per week (2X weekdays, sometimes 1 on weekends), and there are 41 servings, so it probably lasts 3.5 weeks roughly, probably a month b/c many weekends I don't take it. I read that it's even better to take a couple days off, then when you take it on Monday your body is "shocked" again and it keeps your body from adjusting to it.

One other great thing I've found is cottage cheese!! Great for snacking, fat free, burns slow, and has good protein content. Nothing better than pulling it out of the fridge and just snacking, and not feeling guilty about it!

How do you spike your insulin if you're only taking creatine now? Dextrose crystals? It probably is cheaper to buy dextrose and creatine separately, I might look into that IF it's significantly cheaper... :)

When I am in my bulking cycle of my routines, I use AST Micronized Creatine with 40g of Dextrose (you can pick up at most natural food stores cheap, 900g for $3.00) and 40g whey protien post workout. On days that I take off from lifting I take the same mix just in the mornings. I use the AST creatine because of it being micronized. I stop taking creatine altogether when I am cutting though.

As for what I have found to be the best workout routine for my body is:

Bulking Phase
Monday:
Chest and Arms

Tuesday:
Back and Shoulders

Wednesday:
Rest

Thursday:
Legs

Friday:
Chest and Arms

Saturday:
Back and Shoulders

Sunday:
Rest

Cutting Phase
Monday:
Chest and Arms

Tuesday:
45 mins Cardio

Wednesday:
Legs

Thursday:
45 Mins Cardio

Friday:
Shoulders and Back

Saturday:
45 mins cardio

Sunday:
Rest

As I stated earlier though, this is what works for my body best. I have gotten great results from this routine.

It is incredibly cheaper to buy the dextrose and creatine seprately. I pick up 200 servings of creatine for $30.00 and 900g of dextrose for $3.00. I'll never buy a premixed solution.

Ever since I bought the micronized 3 weeks ago, I have been using a scoop of pure table sugar (sucrose) instead of dextrose. I know the sucrose isn't as good as the dextrose (GI of ~65 IIRC, compared to 100 for the dex) but I'm going to use what's left of the sugar then look into getting some dextrose.

I have to agree with you SpecialK, that the AST creatine is the best that I have used. I've been using it for about 2 years now. I would definatly suggest finding some dextrose after you use up all your sucrose. It took me a while to find it here in my town. There is only one store that sells it. I went to every store I could find before that. When I asked if they had dextrose, everyone looked like at me like I was from mars or something.

Yeah I would just go to

1fast400

and order it there. It's $2.00 for 2lbs., but I'm not sure about the shipping costs. Also,

Supplement Direct has 11 lbs for $10, but again I don't know what the shipping costs. Unless shipping costs are ridiculous though, it should be cheaper in the long run to make your own micronized creatine + dex mix as opposed to buying HSC.

I don't see those prices (maybe 2lbs for $20 you meant and 11pounds? of creatine) and I would not recommend a store with low pricing without experience with them. I have seen everything from getting opened containers / bashed up ones and expired ones in some fly by nights...

Never used supplement direct but there are tons of people who will vouch for 1fast400 hands down. Planetdepot.com, Vitaglo.com, dpsnutrition are all great places to order as well.
