Best CPU + motherboard combo for around $220

Hi guys,

I'm looking to build a PC for my friend, he doesnt have much money.

Just wondering what the best performing cpu + motherboard I can get for around $220 (£125)???

He would want to play latest games, watch DVDs, music, internet, etc.

I've chosen a budget graphics card, the Radeon 9700 pro (much better than 9600 pro, and with the 9800 too expensive).

Let me know what you think (about the GPU aswell), and many thanks in advance!!

P.S. I'll be buying off eBay.
 
A socket 939 and venice core with a speed of 3200+ should be possible at $220.00! Get a PCIe mobo and and 6600GT PCIe video card (approx $120.00 or cheaper if you buy it at the For Sale/Trade Forum)
