Best CPU&Mobo for $250ish

so... I have about $200-$250 to spend on a motherboard and CPU..... any suggestions? 🙂

I'm an Intel fanboy, so currently I'd say:

In a few weeks you might be able to grab a Core i5 + low end board for $250.

If you get something now you'll probably want a 45nm Wolfdale if you plan to OC, but to get good performance you'll need equally fast RAM and capable motherboard.

I really wish I knew more about the AMD camp to recommend something because I know they have something similar in performance to a Q9550 & UD3R ... maybe the X4 955 but what mobo I guess... don't know... They both overclock pretty good but AFAIK the AMD chip won't run beyond 3.8Ghz in Windows 64...

personally, I was thinking an intel CPU and a gigabyte Mobo. I was thinking I might try to push my budget for the cpu/mobo to 300, and get a q9550
