Best cpu cooler for S754

I would like some recoomendations on some of the best cpu coolers out there for my S754 A64 3400+.
Also do u think that memory heatsinks for my cheap Kingston CL3 would help for a good o/c?

ramsinks are useless unless you want your memory to look pretty ^_~)

it would be pretty tough to outdo the thermalright xp-120 in terms of outright performance:

i was an early adopter, and thus didn't have much choice in the matter. however, the zalman cnps7700-cu is very quiet for the cooling it provides, just don't expect to oc (i have the older cnps7000a-cu).

Thanks I've seen XP-120 and it's a great cooler. I do care for o/c so is there any better solution than XP120 out there?

Also I have the TT480W with active fan. If I reduce the rpm of the fan all the way down am I going to be ok or will I have a problem if cpu/gpu isn't o/ced? The sound of the fan is driving me nuts

just monitor your temps... if things get uncomfortable just throttle it back up a bit. another possible alternative is the alpha pal8150.

if sound is an issue, a thermaltake silentboost might be what you are looking for
