Live and Let Die -- Guns N Roses
Turn the Page -- Metallica
Tweeter and the Monkey Man -- The Headstones
I Wanna Be Sedated -- Offspring

The cover is incredible . . . but for some reason I just don't know the original.

Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac. Check it out. Stevie has an awesome voice.
Actually she doesn't. Her range is very limited. Live she sounds like a lamb being led tp slaughter. Luckily for her the songs written for her calls for a lamb being led to slaughter she she can get away with it. I would dread having to listen to her sing something like our National Anthem.

She sounds like a lamb with an electric toothbrush up it's ass.

I know this song has been redone a hundred times, but Rush does a good Summertime Blues rendition.

It sounds a lot like Blue Cheer version.

Even though I don't like the group PM Dawn did an outstanding cover of Jimi Hendrix's "If 6 were 9". Hard to find as it was on a compilation album of other artists doing Hendrix Songs.

Actually that is a Bob Dylan song. Most people think it was a Hendrix song because he was the only one to make it sound good.

how about Oasis - wonderwall, originally by Mike Flowers Pops

Oasis wrote that song. Mike Flowers Pops covered it.

As previous stated, Phish never performed Gin and Juice.

Other cover favorites:

Watchtower - Jimi
Hard to Handle - Black Crowes
Crossroads - Cream, Clapton
Statesboro Blues - Allmans
Black Magic Woman - Santana
Cocain - Clapton
I Will Survive - Cake
Me and Bobby McGee - Joplin
Loving Cup - Phish

"Gin & Juice" by Snoop Dogg remade by The Gourds
(not Phish)

"Easy" by the Commodores remade by Faith no more

"Baker Street" by Gerry Rafferty remade by the Foo Fighters

"I will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor remade by Cake

"Scarlet Begonias" by Sublime, originally by the Grateful Dead. The dub section in the middle transformed the song from a mediocre hippie hack job into a pretty compelling story about youth, bad choices, and irresistable women.

"1970" by Mission of Burma, originally by The Stooges. Terrifying.

"Eight Miles High" by Husker Du, originally by the Byrds. The original was one of the greatest rock songs ever recorded - Husker Du's version was completely different and every bit as good. Like most Husker Du, it sounds every bit as fresh today as it did 20 years ago.
