Best cordless drill for under $100?

Looking for a great cordless drill, preferably with some attachments for different type heads, possibly an extra battery, case, included charger and the like. Also, any good ones that have extra features like built-in stud finders and a light? The only reason I ask is because I do not know what's good out there.

Thanks guys.

built in stud finders?

that's like buying an old fischer stereo because it has dubly A & B on the tape deck....

While I have no idea where you are going with your reference, at work we have a cordless that came with an extra battery, charger, and a nice little clip-on stud finder. Geez, it's not like I'm trying to build a house, I just want something small and handy when I need to put a picture on the wall or tighten a screw on a door hinge.

I still don't trust cordless tools, because they sucked so much ass in the past. and the batteries sucked in the cold, etc.

No. They are now well-proven and work quite good.

I can't believe there's more than one available with a friggen stud finder. Never heard of such a thing! But, I'd snag that Skill over the B&D anyday. Actually, I would rather invest that $100 in a better tool, but that's already been hashed...

Good ones don't have that problem....well, my 18 volt Dewalt hammer drill doesn't, anyway.

Dewalt. Thread over, everyone go home.

<--- Added a 18v Dewalt 3 speed XRP, Sawzall, Circular Saw & 3 Extended run batteries to his Aresonal for $189 2 weeks before Christmas. *Me Dances*

Now, I need a 24v Drill to go with my 24v Sawzall, and my collection will be nearly complete. I don't plan on getting any dewalt stuff with < 12v.

wtf, doesn't that drill alone go for $200?

Consumer reports just did a feature on these. I'm too lazy to search for ya though. Sometimes I'd favor a Craftsman simply because they get discounted often, as well as have local guarantee.

DeWalt, Milwaukee, or at the least Makita..

But if it's just for light-duty qwork, Skil is OK.. I'm not a big fan of Craftsman power tools (love the hand tools), and B&D is trash. (Yes, I know they makle DeWalt)

Panasonic makes some mighty fine drills...seems like I saw a good one on the deal boards recently...lemme check

About that, yea. Coupons are a wonderful thing. Marked $299 on the shelf (Which was still a totaly sweet deal!) rang up $239 (IIRC) and used 28% off worth of coupons (Stacked 10's 🙂) = 189 and change out the door.

Porter Cable

It doesn't pay to skimp on power tools - at all.

IF you are using it for a simple job and think you won't use it again, go to a tool rental center and get the right tool for the job.

Don't expect some halfassed solution to last long.

Cheers!

Don't buy a cheap one. I bought a beautiful 19.2 volt Craftsmen for about $140 I believe. It is the best cordless drill I have ever used. Yes, I've used Dewalts.
Now I bought my Dad a 16.8 volt Craftsmen that was about $80 and he thinks that is the best cordless drill he's ever used, but it doesn't even compare to mine.

If you can find a Craftsmen on sale, that is probably a good way to go. I've never used a quality Black and Decker cordless tool.

I love Porter Cables, but I think I'd rather have this one. It gives me a special feeling
