Ok, don't laught but currently, I have my p3-500 and 4 7200 rpm hd's, and
TNT-2 Ultra system in an INWIN Q500 case with a panel open with a small desk
fan blowing in to cool the unit. It was really a down and dirty method on short notice i thought to use a while back and it seems to do the job right. I have my Duron 600 and KT7 mobo on order and now i'm thinking there has to be a more efficient way to cool this system...any suggestions? I only have one extra generic case fan in my current setup. Thanks.

Use an Alpha PEP66 for the CPU cooler. The fan is positioned such that air is drawn across the CPU (top to bottom with mobo in tower orientation). This draws air across the chipset's heatsink (good) and then expels it into your PS which should be set on suck (good).

As for the 7200rpm drives, I installed a 92mm blowhole directly in front of the drives. You may need to do two, one directly above the other. I've got 7200rpm IBM's which used to get really hot. With this simple (and quiet and cool-looking) fan the temperatures are now indistinguishable from rrom temp.
