I'm using the Zalman 7000AlCu. If stock speeds and good case cooling you could get away with running it at 20dba. I overclocked my to 3.22 and run the fan at full speeds, 2500RPM@25dba. I can't hear it over my powersupply fan and the things never gone over 51c after gaming for 10hrs and left on for 72hrs. Also it's summer. In winter the temps never go over 41c.
...it's a large so you want to verify at zalman's website if your going to have problems with your mb. The 7000Cu is heavier than intel recommended so the AlCu was designed to be lighter. I assume the Cu should cool better, but it's reommended to take off when you move your pc (no thank you!).
I've moved my system around with the 700CU, and I have no worries. THe P4 HSF mounting system is awesome, so I don't worry about weight. If its an athlon, then yeah, get the ALU version.
