I recently bought a AMD T-Bird 800Mhz and so far it has been working perfectly.....One thing though is bugging me:
I find the temperature to be rather high (48-52 degrees C.), even when I'm just running Windows.
I mounted a Chrome Orb on it....

So here is the question I want to ask:
Is my cooler just not working right or does I need to buy a larger one....And if so which is said to be the best for AMD's 800Mhz T-Bird?

50 is alright, but for being idle i guess that's high... did you apply any artic silver thermal grease or thermal grease at all? If you want to buy a new hs/f combo, the Globalwin FOP 38 is the best but is really loud. The Alpha PAL6035 is right up there though and is a much more practical solution noise wise.

Best performance is definately the Alpha PAL-6035 with Delta fan. That fan is a tornado though.....

chrome orb has been shown to not be teh best for high end tbirds (read hot tbrids), try a better cooler. those hedgehogs are pretty damn cool, not sure if they're for socketA though.
