Best computer speakers

how much money ya got?

you'd get better sound replacing the live with an audigy or santa cruz or revolution

What about the z640's from logitech? I'm not into to audio a lot but I think its under $100 and its a nice 5.1 setup... atleast someone told me that, hehe 😱

Hm.. i'm in the market for some computer speakers too. I've been looking at the Creative Inspire 2.1 2500. I wanna keep it at 2.1 probably and within $50-$70. I guess 4.1s are fine if they sound better than 2.1s. Sometimes, I just do not want to be stuck in headphones. (sennheiser HD 280 Pro).

Any recommendations?

the inspire 2.1 work fine for me... and i have a pair of koss ksc-35 for 30$...the inspire are 30$ after rebate from frys... so thats 60$ total..not a bad deal

If you can get the Z560s for under $100 it's a great deal. Logitech has an AWESOME warranty too.

EDIT: linked post by me about the Logitech warranty.

Fry's electronics here in Phoenix has a GREAT set of Boston Acoustics 4.1 speakers. The subwoofer is HUGE (and i'm not exxagerating) and the sound quality is awesome. I'm not sure of the model number tho. Adul has an identical set. If you can find them it's worth it, even if they are about $130-$150 for the set.

Do you guys think it's worth it to upgrade from CMedia's 6CH Integrated Sound to a Audigy 2? It does have Four Point Surround capabilities though (Cmedia).

I dont understand people throwing like 300 bucks just for computer speakers.

if you want high quality sound, get optical out and run it through your home theater.
