Best component DVD player for VCD/SVCD/MP3/CDR-RW???

The only ones I know of are the Apex and Sampo but both look like POS. Neither have optical outputs and such. What would you recommend?
 
There are alot of dvd players that will play cdr/rw/vcd/mp3's and I just looked up SVCD cause I didn't know much about it. I have a compatibility list that will show the players that will play alot of these formats that you mentioned(it seems the search is for everything but mp3, but alot of players do this now so I would just check out some of these that you like and see if they do mp3 as well). Whatever the case, there are more than just Apex and Sampo. Good luck.

EDIT: Actually this looks like a fairly decent search site cause it gives you the option to click on what you want for formats and mp3 is included here too as well as svcd and dvd-r/rw etc.

I see that there is a Hitachi, Toshiba, Yamaha, RCA, Samsung, and alot of other good brands out there that have what you are looking for in a dvd component player.
