I am looking to build a PC but do not know what is the best motherboard to use with an Athlon. I was considering the Abit KT7A but this does not take DDR SDRAM so little put off. I am after the quickest and best board and not bothered about RAID. I would prefer a board with DDR SDRAM as it is so cheap at the moment.
I am also unsure whether to go for the IBM Deskstar 75GXP or the 60GXP. Please help!!!

go for the epox 8k7a (everybody's got something great to say about this board), Heck I'm getting ready to get one, either today or tommorrow.
also go for the ibm60gxp, less problems than the 75gxp from what i hear on this board

Quite expensive boards though. Should I go for the RAID version and get 2 of these 60GXP disks? Using RAID 0 I heard read/writes are better and you don't loose any space.

I dunno, I'm getting the raid version but I'm only going with one IBM60gxp either 40gig or 60gig, and then I'm going to get another hard drive sometime about chirstmas. So i can take advantage of Raid, heck even if your just thinking about possibly using Raid it's only like 10 or 15 more bucks, I think it is worth it.
