I've come to the conclusion that it will still be awhile before LCDs will match what CRTs can offer in the area of gaming. However, I realize LCDs have the advantage as far as static applications go (word processing, internet, web design and photoshop). I'm looking for a non-widescreen LCD for under $600 which will be best for these types of applications.
Color reproduction is by far the most important factor to me.
I have already tried the Samsung 204b and the Viewsonic vx2025wm. The Samsung has a noticeable color shift from top to bottom and the Viewsonic has noticeable banding which is a no-no.
I'm open to suggestions, thanks for any help.
