I've only heard some of Clapton's music and I really enjoyed them. So I'm looking for more music of his.

hope to learn a lot in this thread.

Is this generally considered his best album? I would buy a greatest hits, but none of them seem to have all the songs i like... Think i might pick up Unplugged as well...

I just recently got slowhand on vinyl for a dollar, sounds great. Some great great songs on it. No quantization error on a record, either! I love "The Core" - great song.

There are 5 or 6 really good Clapton albums. You definitely can't go wrong with Slowhand, that's the classic. The others that I listen to most often are 461 Ocean Boulevard, From the Cradle, Journeyman and his 1st album which was simply self-titled. For really big name hits Slowhand and 461 Ocean Boulevard are the best choices, for really hardcore blues try From the Cradle. Eric Clapton and Journeyman fall somewhere in between.

Do you mean his best solo album, or his best album period (like during the time he was in the Yardbirds or Cream) ? If the later, I'd probably go with Disraeli Gears.
