Depends on what you're allergic to and the only way to really find that out is a scratch test of common irritants. Then you can nail down an area that is not so high in those things. Problem is, if you do move you may over time become allergic to something in your new area.

The list doesn't label them "best" or "worst," but does say that some cities are ''the most challenging places to live'' with allergies. On this list, a low ranking is good! Here are the cities that ranked 90 through 100 on the foundation’s spring allergy capital list in 2010:

Portland, Ore.
Seattle, Wash.
San Diego, Calif.
Sacramento, Calif.
Albany, NY
Salt Lake City, Utah
Stockton, Calif.
San Jose, Calif.
Colorado Springs, Colo.
Daytona Beach, Fla.

Most of the best 10 cities are pretty temperate, with few dramatic seasonal weather swings. Albany, N.Y. -- the only Northeast city to make the list -- has long cold seasons and lake-effect snow, meaning shorter pollen cycles.

I live in the LA area and went to visit Phoenix in spring this year and my allergies were perfect. Didn't even need allergy medicine.

I used to be a professional opera singer and I had HORRIBLE allergies in a few cities. Tulsa I think was the worst of them. Never got a sniffle in Tempe or Yuma or San Diego.Stopped taking jobs in OK because I couldnt stay healthy there.

If your allergic to mold/spores then go where its dry.

has this year been the WORST allergy season/year for you guys too? The mold counts from all the rain are trough the roof in the midwest and I know of 4 people this year so far that have been hospitalized from Asthma and allergies.

I am soon gonna live in a bubble me thinks....

Atlanta.

/thread.

What, he never said "Cities that are less allergy prone than others" did he? If i'm reading it correctly, and I think I am, he is looking for the BEST city for people with allergies. That would be Atlanta. If you live here, you would agree it is the best place for allergies. Our pollen is so high, it causes traffic accidents. Our pollution can get so bad that it causes a red alert to people in sensitive groups. Whats not to love if you have allergies? It is truly " the best"

Peace
