Yeah, my wife watches this every year now I think. Most of the movie is excellent, except the plotline about the woman with the disturbed brother, she is just an idiot. Bill Nighy is hysterical as Billy Mack. It was a pretty popular film though, so I wouldn't say most people haven't seen it.

A really good Christmas movie for the kids and family to sit down and watch together is Black Christmas. It really has something for everyone and encapsulates the spirit of Christmas quite well.

I always liked The Muppet's Christmas Carol movie.

There's also the very odd Claymation Christmas special that they used to show on TV often when I was a kid. Those California Raisins sure were hip.

Watched Miracle on 34th Street for the first time this year. I highly recommend it.

It's really very good, not just your average chick flick. It also follows multiple intertwining plotlines (some of which are very funny), rather than just some single romance story. This is a great season to watch it too.

A really good Christmas movie for the kids and family to sit down and watch together is Black Christmas. It really has something for everyone and encapsulates the spirit of Christmas quite well.

Hahahah I actually came in here to post this. It's a terrible, terrible movie...but I found some of the visuals pretty stunning mostly because a lot of the scenes appear to be ambiently lit with only Christmas lights.

Yep. Everyone seems to think it's a chick flick, and while I guess it can be categorized that way, it's really a pretty great movie.
