What is it? I'm talking something you can likely find at a supermarket or convenience in the U.S., not some exoctic shit you got while visiting Argentine 24 years ago. And none of that dark chocolate garbage.

I want to try all the good stuff!

Thanks!

ehh, of stuff you can find anywhere ... Fannie May Pixies have always been a family favorite .... but they tend to be overpriced

Fudge made in little tourist trap type places is usually the best though ...

Dark chocolate ain't garbage. I like the 85% dark. Good stuff. Besides that, I don't know where to find good chocolate besides Whole Foods. They have some really good chocolate.

or he has sweet tooth and tried a 97% bar and couldnt' handle it ? Or maybe he thinks "dark chocolate" is the same thing as "hersheys dark" which is more or less a joke.... he can be troll, or maybe simply deprived?

LOL, that dark chocolate shit that is not sweet at all, is just some sort of weird bitter tasting garbage, is garbage. Maybe if its like 75% dark and 25% light its ok, but that pure dark crap is crap.

It's not supposed to be sweet. But then again I've never tried chocolate shit!

Anyway my choice is going to involve cherries, kirsch, and dark chocolate. Do they have Hotel Chocolate in the states? They do good ones at an ok price.

Well it's not supossed to be sweet. If you want sweet I'd eat a Mars bar, or a Hersey bar.

You're not supposed to eat baker's chocolate... And the super dark from lower end brands like Ghiradelli is bland and waxy. Most good bars are usually around 65%-75%.

+1 for Toblerone, if you want something you can find anywhere and not dark.

I like the Ghirardelli 86% squares and always have them in my pantry. I tried the 92% but it was way too bitter for me.

OP, have you tried deez? ;)

Secret: TJ Maxx actually carries imported Italian, French, and Belgian chocolates in their food isle for steep discounts. It's usually top quality stuff and they'll have it for under $7.

That being said, I had some truffles from Teuscher in Chicago and they were so incredibly well made I've never forgotten them.
