Gents,

I've been a long-time AMD user but with the fall in prices of Intel CPU's it seems wise to at least look at the competition. I see a lot of reviews out there for the various AMD and Intel chipsets but I haven't found one which compares the latest of each to show who holds the performance crown. So, that's my question for you - what is the best-performing chipset currently on the market? Is it the Nforce2? the KT400? Or the 875P? Enquiring minds want to know ...

Intel 875P, no doubt about it. Here's a quick example. No other chipset can keep up at the moment. Of course, things change quickly, but for now 875P is king.

Provided you can supply enough memory bandwidth this chipset does seem to rock. Dollar per dollar though I would still take a nForce2 right now though.

the i865PE is no slouch for it's price. just over $100 gives you the IS7 from Abit which has loads of features.
