I'm going to Philadelphia tomorrow to see Tool and would like to eat the best cheesesteak in Philly while I'm there. Where should I go?

I'm not a big fan of cheesewiz.

jim's is big, but they're not worth the $$.. pat's and geno's(sp?) are the two most famous IIRC. also try some of the smaller places. i get my from some other first-name-delly (can't remember the name), and they're friggin awesome.. just make sure the cheese melts all over the steak and you're good to go basically

Yeah. Jim's is supposed to be the best but is more expensive. Pat's and Geno's are the most famous. I went to Villanova for a year and experienced many cheesesteaks but I think the best one I had was actually on the Villanova campus at one of the made to order places to eat on campus -- good luck!

EDIT:I'm pretty sure you can get a cheesteak with American Cheese or a couple other types of cheeses at Jim's -- not sure about the other places but I'm sure they have gotten the request before so they won't look at you like you are crazy.

Yeah... I think it's going to be Jim's. They also have a location that's pretty close to the venue in Upper Darby.

And what's expensive? 10 bucks a sandwich?
