best cheapest PSU to revive this system?

Hey yall,

So this computer was about to be discarded, and I've thankfully talked this crazy person into trying to if not sell, at least give away the system instead of throwing it away! It is an AMD XP2600+ in MSI K7N2 with Radeon 9200SE and 1.5GB DDR333. Well some of it is DDR400 but not all, so it runs at DDR333. Has an 80GB Seagate 7200RPM HDD, 52x LG CDRW and a 1.44 floppy 😀

Unfortunately the power supply is dead. I tested it with an XFX 450W from another PC and it fires up just fine. Maybe someone with a spare PSU will pick it up, I dont know, but in the event that doesn't happen, any suggestions for cheap but not too crappy power supply that could be thrown in here? Or is it not even worth bothering? Don't want to spend too much just to give it away or sell dirt cheap.

Open to any suggestions!

Obsolete hardware that belongs in the scrap yard or some collector's display case, if you ask me.

its barely worth $50. and will consume that much a year in energy bills if you use it.

its truly worth more as scrap metal. at least after its scrapped it wont be adding any more co2 to the air.

these days, i draw the line at youtube/netflix playback. if the computer can do that, even if its just SD content, its a good computer. if it can do HD content, its a really nice computer.

anything less is junk. theyre not even good for basic tasks anymore, when a $40 raspberry pi can do that stuff on milliwatts of power.

Cheap yet passable PSUs will cost you about 30 bucks. You might as well try to sell the parts separately, i.e case for 20 bucks on classifieds, CPU for 10-20 on ebay, hard drive for 20-40. Mobos have some contaminants, such as lead, FYI; so, dispose of them properly.
