Best/cheapest PCIX card?

got a new MB/CPU combo coming but the MB is PCIX only (and PCI)
whats a good yet "inexpensive" PCIX card to get? That will perform adequetly for todays games?

Assuming he is talking about Pci-e, Here you go.


$160-200 6600GT (Good bang for the buck, unfortunatly, the X800XL and 6800GT are well ahead of this card since it only offers 8 pipelines and 128bit memory limiting your aa/af.

$270-310 X800XL (this is a big step above the 6600GT)

$400 6800GT (The X800XL for 270 performs just as well as this card if not better, currently, unless your worried about SM3, its not worth the extra cash)

$450-500 x850XT (Fasted card on the market)

YEah sorry was typo/brain fart
X800XL it is... I assume one is as good as the next? 90% refernce board from what I understand

Get the cheapest one you can find.


Connect3d has been the cheapest on newegg for a while.

A few people have them, havnt heard any compliants.

Connect3d, Gigabyte, Saphire, Build By ATI, Asus are all good brands.
