Get on eBay and look for a WinTV 401. I got mine for less than $30 shipped. Great card with good support... Just watch the auctions for the low one :).

edit: oops, that was supposed to be a :), not a :|, fixed ;)...

ATI has a lot of nice features, I know I have it...crappy driver support as always with ATI...

I run it in win98, but I have heard it lacks support or good support in win2k...so beware. I think it still runing aroun 60 bucks but can be picked up in the for/sale forums for around 45-50 usually...

cheapest has to be hauppage wintv usually sub 40's, but lack all the features of ATI...

ATI has a TV wonder VE version which I believe lacks a few of the capture features and runs about 20 bucks cheaper...

I had the WinTV-Go and liked it. I now use the WinTV-radio ... I like the remote (makes you feel like you are actually watching TV) and it has a stereo decoder on it.

I love my ATI-TV Wonder -- especially the exclusive "Desktop tuner" where your wallpaper can become the TV Tuner input (S-video, coax, etc.)

Does the 401 have TV out? I'm looking to get a card that I can use for VIVO. I'd like to spend less than 50 bucks so if this has it, it'll be perfect.

Dude! Don't use TV out - use dTV on a monitor. It is supposed to be awesome if your using a good feed for video. I haven't tried the card yet at all for anything but I brought it to record the Simpsons if I get Direct TV or something similar. Right now I don't subscribe to any service at all except DSL & phone :).

But to answer your question - http://www.hauppauge.com/html/wc_data.htm. I'm not sure but read up there!

the ATI tv tuner actually have win2k drivers. They were created due to 'popular' demand...but they are in beta. I can't seem to get mine to work tho..video shows up but no sound :(
