Anyone familiar with 1280 x 1024 projectors? I need to buy the best cheapest for my boss.

Any suggestions or links to comparisons would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Holy crap, i just did a little googling, & all i could find for 1280x1024 projectors was that they are 12K + :Q

No updates?

I take it the pricing on the true 1280x1024 ones was a little horrifying?

If not, i'd be curious to hear what you found.

Just do one of those homemade ones. Get an old SXGA LCD screen and an overhead projector. Much less than 12k, I guarentee you.

Thanks. That is decent, but I think I really need native resolution of 1280 x 1024. The problem with 1024 x 768 is we sit quite close to this big screen looking at little numbers, and it is too "blocky" to read well sometimes.
Resolution: native WSVGA (854 x 480); max SXGA (1280 x 1024 pixels)

When you say we? How many is that? It may be a lot cheaper to just buy each of you a 17inch TFT, and a multiple monitor converter thingy, wirey though. :)

Apparently about 10 monitors is about the limit for 2k/XP, but apparnetly that's due to the display applet, not the system itself. Hmm. But if you're looking at a fixed presentation, just send the pdf or powerpoint presentation to every one, and have lots of PCs...

OK, fair enough, a projector would be easier.

For $5,000, it doesn't look good though.
