Hey guys (and gals)...

I'm looking for input on a reasonably priced card to go in a Linux box I'm getting ready to build. It should be ready when I get the stuff to upgrade my current computer.

Specs.

K7S5A
Athlon 1.4
512 MB DDR

Any help?

My Radeon8500 seems to work perfectly fine in linux. Havn't tried anything 3D, though. I think it sells around $50-$60 now.

I was thinking even cheaper... :)

This will just be a file server and learning box.

I have an excellently working Radeon 7500LE here in mine (K7S5A and Duron 600). I'm running XFree 4.2.0 on it, and have full support, including dual head capability (never tried TV-out nor 3D). Only TV overlay on the 2nd screen doesn't work quite right (fixed in XFree 4.3 apparently).

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I've tried the RadeonLE (should be same as Radeon7200) and it works fine in 2D.
