I'm planning to buy netbooks for my kids, but I really know nothing about them.

I was hoping to find something around $200, but it looks like there isn't much at that price point, so I'm willing to go up to $300 if needed to get a decent machine.

Nothing fancy is needed. They will just be used for web surfing, chatting, and playing kids web based games. I'd just like to find something reliable with a nice screen, keyboard, and touchpad, and decent battery life.

So what's the best bet under $300?
