if u can get a geforce4 mx for cheap then it is alright... i hooked a friend up with nforce2 mobo with the built-in video and he cna handle DotA's in WC3 on high detail 800x600 suprisingly better than i expected.

Were talking under $25 here, none of the cards mentioned can be had for that. A Geforce1 DDR or one of the Radeon1 DDR/LE flashe to a retail would work. Nearly anything will work with the origional CS.

Just checked PriceWatch and they have a GF2 GTS for under $25 shipped($23), that looked like the best choice I could find in terms of buying new. You are likely better off going in to the FS/FT forums here and picking up a used GF3 if you can find one for that price.

Actually, the card you're refering is a GeForce2 GTS-V (Visiontek 5632 OEM). I've got two of these. They're underclocked GF2's, but are very good buy's for the price. Certainly better than any of the GF2MX's. Considering how low on the totem pole these cards are, they can even play Doom3 (albeit at REALLY low quality and resolution).
