Best Chance of Getting G0 Stepping Quad

I'll be putting my order in for a Q6600 today or tomorrow. Who should I order from that might give me the best chance of getting a G0 stepping? Or is it just a crapshoot? Newegg is cheapest, but if I have to pay a little more to know I have a good to guaranteed chance at a G0 then I'll do it.

Thanks for any info.

EDIT - Looks like ClubIT.com is selling G0's.

I got my G0 from the Egg, ordered 6 Sept, recieved 7 Sept but I took a chance
Clubit had them for roughly the same price and guaranteed G0, or at least the stepping shows before you order it. Some also have said that they recieved G0s from ZZF
For a guaranteed G0 I'd either go with Clubit or even Tankguys, depending if they have stock.

A quick thread over at Arstechnica had a guy talking about a B3 stepping and thinking he's screwed from an OC. Several people responded they've OC'd B3s just fine, as much as G0, and that G0 isn't really the magic bullet people
hype them up to be.

/shrug I dunno, just saying.

no a G0 is a world of difference if your overclocking to high oc's.

Of course, the requirement for high oc's is usually a really beefy cooler, or water.

But i noticed around a 10C difference in load temps from each. Also its VERY VERY difficult to get a B3 @ 3.6ghz. On a G0 with proper cooling, 3.6ghz is a snap.

I'll probably just push mine to around 3.0 or 3.2 and on down the line when it starts getting old and slow (like my P4 is now), I'll say to hell with it and push it for all it's worth and if it cooks then who cares 'cause it'll be old anyway.

compusa has them for pretty cheap. you could just look on the boxes there. price is same as newegg.

Where will it be located on the box?

Look at the CPU thru plastic window and look for SLACR. PIC.

SLACR is G0 stepping.
