In Massachusetts, what do you think is the better service, Bell Atlantic or Cell One? Are there any other names out there or is that it for choices?

Cellular One is great. I have them and have no complaints. I am in Pennsylvania.

For what it is worth, my father works for Bell Atlantic and even with his employee discount, they couldn't touch the plan from Cellular One.

Doesn't AT&T cover your area?

I dunno. I'm new here so I'm not sure... are we allowed to recommend stuff? I bought my last phone from a website called FirstPCS.com and they seemed pretty cool about finding out information about coverage for my region. I've been happy with the AT&T service so far, but then again I live a few hours south of you... As for price, I dunno. The way it seems to me from every explanation I ever heard is that you get ripped most ordering low-minute plans. If you can substitute some use of cellular for your normal non-local exchange phone calls you may have a higher monthly bill, but per minute you are making out better. Even though the plans seemed a few bucks higher on the face of it, AT&T at least had less hidden charges than some of the others I've used in the past--although I'll admit that they might only be the best of a bad lot.

Voicestream is another good one. The Nokia they supply is generally better than AT & T's (6190 vs 6120,60,61) unit. Also, Voicestream is GSM, so you get a lot of nifty WAPesque features...you can also get new ringtones and logos sent to your phone straight from voicestream's website...no need for cumbersome data cables to your PC.

You'll also see Voicestream under the Omnipoint name, though they're phasing that out.
