verizon has a deal for $19.99 per month but it sucks. somthing like 20 anytime minutes and 250 week end minutes. im looking for just a little more week day minutes than that :) also. im not in the total need for one so $20 is about my limit.

also whats the other cell companies out there?

29.99 a month will get you a lot more flexibility. Don't go with Sprint in SoCal. I'm switching to PacBell soon, all my friends use it and they never get dropped calls. I used to get dropped calls and bad reception all the time with Sprint.

after 2 years with sprint.. their service is improving, and they fit my usual pattern. However next year I am shifting to Nextel.

AT&T is the best next in line is PacBell. Verizon sucks atleast for me, since I use my phone mostly during the day time peak hours.

Looks like At&t if you don't want cell to cell calls. Pac Bell if you do.

You can get a nice Nokia 8260 from Buy.com right now and sign up with At&t. After all the rebates you will get back $40.
Makes this a great deal. It includes 2nd day air.... so you will get the phone pronto.

Both have a $29.99 plan.

Pacbell offers nice unlimited mobile to mobile options but I've noticed that their service has deteriorated recently. Frequent "system busy" messages when trying to place calls and calls simply not going through. If you want the nokia 8xxx series phone, forget the buy.com deal and just drive to one of the many asian cellular dealers in downtown la. They give you the phone and accessories free when you sign up through them. The service is provided by pacbell, you're just buying the phone from an independent dealer rather than Pacbell sponsored outlets.

I've got the best deal I've ever heard of.

Sprint gives you 250 anytime minutes, 1250 night/weekend minutes, and free longdistance for $35. I would've cancelled my home hardline if I didn't need it for the internet. Can't be beat.

Well, Pac Bell has $10 off the first 3 months and first 3 months you also get free mobile to mobile and free long distance AND 1000 weekend for free...but I think AT&T has a better deal on the 29.99 plan? I don't remember.

Pacbell is great for me. If i want a new phone, i remove the sim chip and toss it in a new phone with no problem. If i leave the country, i take my chip with me, and pop that baby in a euro-spec phone. Nice, i'd say.

Here in Arizona Verizon for $29.95 offers 500 weekday, 1000 weeknight+weekends, free long distance plus first incoming minute free. Probably even beats SprintPCS on this one with SprintPCS's proprietary network.
